The Green Page

The Dunham House is committed to social and environmental responsibility. We will be working with corporations, organizations, and individuals to do our part in bringing awareness to the green movement. Some of the current projects we encourage, involve PPG Porter Paint. Their bucket recycling program and eco friendly paint line is the beginning of many more projects to come.

During the restoration of the Dunham House, we replaced old oil burning furnaces with high efficient heat pumps and alternate sources of heat.

Pictured above is a corn burning stove which heats the 1,000 square foot media room. It is capable of burning corn, wood pellets, and cherry pits. Also all lighting in the Dunham House is either dimmer switch controlled or uses high efficient bulbs.

Future programs at the Dunham House will include recycling drives and our community garden. Details are forthcoming. If you or your organization are interested in participating, please feel free to reach us through the information provided on the contact us page.
